WHITBY TRANSIT

Whitby Transit provides bus service to the Town of Whitby from Monday to Friday with six regular routes, and on Saturdays with three regular routes. Peak hour service provides efficient travel to and from the GO Train station, while Off-Peak service revolves around downtown Whitby and the Dundas Street corridor, including the connection with Oshawa Transit at the Oshawa Shopping Centre.

Whitby Transit has special routes established to serve secondary schools in Whitby including: Father Leo J. Austin, Henry Street High School, Anderson Collegiate & Vocational Institute and Sinclair Secondary School, as well as the Durham College Skills Training Facility on Champlain Avenue.

The Williamsburg subdivision and the industrial area south of Hwy. 401 and east of Brock Street is served by "Dial-A-RIDE" during Whitby Transit hours of operation. Dial-A-RIDE can be reached at 668-3333.

During the evening, Monday to Friday, when regular service has ended, Whitby Transit provides an Evening Shuttle service from the GO Train Station, meeting all incoming GO service. It is also possible to arrange a trip within the Whitby Transit Service area at these times by calling the Evening Shuttle at 668-3333 after 5 P.M.

There are currently Fare Agreements in place with GO Transit for service to the Whitby GO Train Station, Ajax, Brooklin, Myrtle and Myrtle Station. Passengers can also transfer between Oshawa and Whitby Transit.
